Terms of service

1. About these terms

This website, www.bonjourdiamond.com, is operated by Bonjour Diamond ("we", "us", "our"). These terms apply when you browse the site or place an order with us. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them, together with our shipping policy, refund policy and privacy policy. Custom orders are also governed by our custom order terms; where they differ from these terms, the custom order terms apply to that order.

You must be at least the age of majority where you live to place an order.

2. Our pieces

  • Our diamonds are lab-grown and our colored stones are lab-created, unless a product page says otherwise.
  • Each piece is made to order in the metal you choose.
  • Where a product page says a piece is IGI certified, it comes with its IGI grading report. As a rule, that is every diamond of 1 carat or more.
  • Carat weights, measurements and metal weights are approximate. Small variations are normal in jewelry made by hand.
  • Photographs on this site are styled and digitally edited. Color, proportion and scale on your screen may differ slightly from the finished piece.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time before you order. Sales tax, where it applies, and any shipping charge are shown at checkout before you pay. For collection pieces, payment is taken when you place your order.

For custom orders, a deposit of 50% of the price is paid through a personal invoice to reserve your diamond and start the design, and the balance is due before your piece ships, as set out in our custom order terms. A personal invoice is for the person it is addressed to and should not be shared.

If a price or description on the site is clearly wrong, we may cancel an order placed at that price and refund it in full.

4. Orders

We email you a confirmation when we receive your order. We may decline or cancel an order, for example where we suspect fraud, cannot verify payment, or cannot make the piece as described. If we do, we refund anything you have paid for it.

You are responsible for the details you give us, including your ring size, engraving text, approved design and shipping address. Please check them before you pay.

5. Making, shipping and delivery

Collection pieces are made after you order and normally ship within three to four weeks. Custom pieces normally take one to two weeks to make after your written approval of the design, and delivery within the United States usually takes a further three to seven days. These are our best estimates. If we cannot ship by the date we gave you, we will tell you before that date and you may cancel for a full refund. Shipping charges, insurance, duties and delivery are described in our shipping policy.

6. Cancellations, returns and resizing

You may cancel a collection order at any time before it ships, and return an eligible collection piece within 30 days of delivery. Engraved pieces are final sale. The conditions, and our complimentary resizing, are set out in our refund policy.

Custom orders can be canceled, changed and returned only as set out in our custom order terms. Because they are made to your specification, they cannot be returned for a change of mind.

7. Care and repairs

Our care guide explains how to look after your piece at home. Repairs are handled in the US. Faults in materials or workmanship are covered for one year by our limited warranty; any other repair is quoted before we begin. Write to us through our contact page to arrange it.

8. Using this site

You agree not to misuse the site: not to interfere with how it works, attempt to access it without authorization, use it for anything unlawful, or place orders with false or stolen details.

The site and everything on it, including text, photographs, designs, logos and the Bonjour Diamond name, belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.

The site may link to services run by others. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Our responsibility to you

We make each piece with care and will repair, remake or refund a piece that arrives damaged or is not what you ordered or approved, as described in our refund policy and custom order terms.

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited or excluded.

10. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we collect and use your personal information.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page on the day you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
